Appendix 7:  View of USMA facilities at West Point, circa 1969

This is how the academy appeared after the expansion of 1965-1969.  The building in the middle with the two wings was the mess hall.  Buildings to the left and right housed the cadet regiments.  The area to the left with discontinuous buildings and an open area was the original corps housing with its central area.  For four years I lived in the building partially seen at the far left in the middle of the picture.

The parade ground is seen at the bottom of the picture.  The cadet chapel is toward the upper right.  Chapels for Jewish and Catholic cadets are not seen.  At the extreme upper right corner is Michie Stadium, home of the football team.
